ABOUT US……

Altair Ski and Sports Club is a year-round, all volunteer, non-profit organization established in March of 1987. Our name, Altair, was suggested by one of our founding members. Altair is one of the brightest stars in the sky. Over many years, we continue to live up to its brilliant and steady example.

Mission

Originally started as a ski club, Altair evolved into far more than a ski and sports club. Altair is a social atmosphere where you can make new friends and enrich your life. It brings active adults together who enjoy recreational sports and social activities in group settings.

Today

Altair volunteers organize outdoor and indoor activities, including (but not limited to):

Skiing,Snowshoeing

Kayaking,Boating

TGIF, Dance Lessons,Theater,Card Games, Dinners

Biking

Volleyball, Pickleball, Bowling

Benefits

 

Members of Altair are eligible to attend Members Only activities and pay Members’ prices. Upon becoming a member of Altair, individuals are automatically affiliated with the Northwest Ski Club Council made up of more than 35 clubs from Oregon & Washington.

 

Volunteer opportunities

Altair Is an organization operated completed by volunteers. Our trip coordinators, club officers and meeting and communications organizers are all volunteers.

Altair also provides service projects for our members to participate in through our Community Service team.  Look in our News / Articles for more information on helping our community through these projects.
